BWRT Training Level 1 - Classroom based
What can I expect from the BWRT Level 1 Classroom training?
Level 1 General Psychopathology – The Study and Treatment of Psychological and Behavioural Dysfunction.
On completion of this Level 1 course, you will be a qualified and certificated BWRT Professional Practitioner.
The classroom based training takes place over two days, and at the end you will be fully conversant in using BWRT. The location for this training is in Thremhall Business Park. You can find more details about the location here.
What makes BWRT such a special therapy?
BWRT can also be used safely via Skype, Zoom or other similar online platforms, and is every bit as effective as face-to-face sessions. It is also morally and ethically acceptable to use it with friends and family with no limitations.
BWRT works at changing those emotions that you seem to be trapped into experiencing. It can also be used ‘content free’, so that your client doesn’t have to tell the therapist what they’re thinking, that can remain private and confidential in their own mind. Again, working content free in this way makes no difference to the effect of BWRT.
It is based around the most recent discoveries in neuroscience and the preparation to the therapy that is delivered to the client employs an easy to understand explanation both to why it seems so impossible to stop doing things that seem so destructive to our well being, and then how malleable our brain is, so it can be altered.
Clients realise they are able to make the necessary changes to their own brain wiring and how easily this can be done. The explanation allows the client to understand how and why it’s possible to reprogram those destructive thoughts, feelings, behaviours that have been affecting them. The term in science is neuroplasticity, which allows the clients to realise that we are not ‘hard wired’, we are ‘live wired’ and this is used to make those changes.
The classroom training contains not only the theory of BWRT Level 1, but you will also be involved in practical work. By the end of the two days you will understand the premise of BWRT, and how to deliver the basic protocols that are at the heart of this methodology.
The classroom environment will allow you to learn face to face, ask any questions as they arise, practice the protocols, and gain knowledge from your tutor, ie. me, about BWRT, as I’m an advanced practitioner, a mentor and supervisor, and I use BWRT daily in my practice.
When the training has finished you will need to complete the final assessment process (all of which is included in the training fee). On successful completion then you will receive your BWRT Level 1 certification and be eligible for optional registration with the Terence Watts BWRT Institute. The Terence Watts BWRT Institute will allow you access to other BWRT protocols, and is a mine of information.
Join our Facebook group ‘BWRT Introduction’, here you can ask any burning questions of the practitioners and trainers.

BWRT and Beyond
Beyond Level One – The BWRT Journey.
Once you have studied and passed the BWRT exam, you will have an amazing tool within your repertoire that will truly enhance your work as a therapist. The Level one process can be applied to numerous issues with which your clients will present.
Once you are a member of the BWRT Institute you will also gain access to a huge amount of material. This additional material can be accessed as a Level one practitioner, and used all within your own time span. Once you become conversant with the basic and most widely used protocols that you learn in the training, the additional material is then available for you, as an enhancement to the BWRT process, when you are ready.
Once you’re ready to spread your wings within BWRT, then there are further training courses that can be undertaken once you have the Level one qualification. More details about these courses can be found here. This includes one of my own courses which is ‘Generation Z – Building Resilience’ in our Younger Generation.
The next possible steps you can take are also to train in:
Level Two – Psychology of Identity and Behaviour
Level Three – Psychophysiology (Mind and Body)
All this information can be found on The Terence Watts BWRT Institute website.
There is also the support that can be gained from the BWRT Professional Facebook page, which you are also able to join on completion of the training. The Facebook page alone is not only a mine of information, but it is also access to other BWRT therapists and mentors for any questions or support that you might need.
